There are a growing number of reports across the web of Google Ads accounts supervisors threatening to call customers directly, in spite of not being allowed to.

According to the reports, firms who don’t react to e-mails from Google Ads account supervisors are being met hazards from Google representatives to call clients directly.

In some cases, the Google Advertisements account supervisors call customers and tell them to drop their agencies.

There are two things to make clear here:

  1. Agencies are not needed to speak with Google associates
  2. At no point needs to a Google Ads account manager call a company’s client

A Google Ads representative informing customers to fire their company crosses the line.

However, these reports are becoming more frequent.

Matt Janaway, CEO of Marketing Labs, shared his experience on LinkedIn today:

support our marketers and firm partners.” Screenshot from:, November 2022. Janaway isn’t alone in his experience. Throughout October, reports circulated on Reddit of Google representatives engaging in comparable practices. One Reddit user posted a screenshot of an e-mail gotten by a Google Ads Account

Strategist, which reads: “I am composing to you one last time as a courtesy, due to the fact that my honest goal is to offer you

value and advanced strategies with google advertisements and work with you carefully, to assist you save time and make your clients more effective with google ads, thus I am contacting you for the last time to inform you that if I do not reach you, I will presume that you are not getting my e-mails and will get in touch with the customers that I have been appointed straight.”Another Reddit user has almost the same story, saying they

have actually been “harassed”with day-to-day emails from a Google Advertisements associate to get on a call and carry out project modifications. Again, firms aren’t obligated to consult with Google reps or implement modifications customers aren’t asking for. Need to you receive an email like the one above, the best thing to do is send a grievance through

Google’s official type. Beware of these aggressive sales methods. As long as you’re not breaking any policies, Google has no say over

how you run your customers’campaigns. Included Image: FGC/Best SMM Panel
